Potential Peyton Manning Trade Partners

Tony Dungy thinks the Indianapolis Colts should draft Andrew Luck if given the opportunity and trade Peyton Manning.  With what would've been a willing suitor in the Oakland Raiders following their trade for Carson Palmer we look at other potential destinations for the future hall of fame quarterback.

Kansas City Chiefs: A franchise that has some history dealing for legendary quarterbacks, and a team that despite a terrible start has shown signs of life.  With the return of Jamaal Charles and Tony Moeaki in 2012, to join an offense with Dwyane Bowe and Steve Breaston, it could be an appealing destination for Manning.

Washington Redskins:  Are we really to believe Mike Shanahan is going to strap his cart to John Beck or Rex Grossman for the long haul?  Also, do you think Dan Snyder would be able to resist making a move like this.

San Francisco 49ers: Behind Jim Harbaugh and a nasty front seven on defense this is a team in the rise.  They've built a solid offensive line that could keep Manning upright and possibly let Michael Crabtree finally reach his potential.

Baltimore Ravens: To me, this is the one that makes the most sense, with one caveat, the Ravens do not win the Super Bowl this season.  Say Baltimore gets bounced by Pittsburgh in the playoffs again, do you really think anyone in that front office would be brave enough to tell Ray Lewis that they're sticking with Flacco?

Dallas Cowboys: If they miss the playoffs, the calls for Tony Romo's head may be too loud to ignore.  Much like Baltimore, this is a team built to win now.

With pride off the table, what is left for Dallas to play for?

While watching the game on Sunday night between the Pittsburgh Steelers and New Orleans Saints, NBC took the time to preview next week's contest between the Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers. In their promo they said that Dallas would be playing for pride, an obvious oversight on their part as any pride Dallas may have had was washed away by the career performance by David Garrard earlier in the day. One of the worst things that can happen to a team is for them to read and believe what is being written about them, and Dallas has been guilty of this all season. They foolishly believed the hype that they were the NFC favorites and has a great chance to play in the Super Bowl on their home field, and perhaps worse for Cowboys fans, they listened this week to all the experts tell them that their season was over with the injury to Tony Romo (which was probably true, but you can't believe that if you are a player). The question is, where do they go from here? Does Jerry finally usher Wade Phillips out the door?

Is the Kardashian run over?

With the proclamation of Dallas’ demise after Michael Boley’s hit on Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, can we safely say that the Kardashian championship run is over? Miles Austin has to be thinking, how did it all go so wrong? Coming into this season Dallas seemed to have all the pieces in place to make a serious run at the Super Bowl; a dynamic offense, a defense able to harass opposing quarterbacks and force mistakes, and a secret weapon in Kim Kardashian. For those of you unaware of the power the Kardashians have in the sporting world here is the rundown: Kim dates Reggie Bush, the Saints win the Super Bowl, Khloe marries Lamar Odom, the Lakers win the NBA Championship. It would seem to reason that when Miles Austin and Kim Kardashian started their romance, it put Dallas in a great position to be the first team ever to play in the Super Bowl on their home field. However, the romance has seemed to bring nothing but bad luck to the Cowboys. Perhaps there is such a thing as too much star (see what I did there) power, and after the path that Jessica Simpson’s career went down following her split from Tony Romo, maybe it would be better for all involved if Austin and Kardashian went there separate ways.
